What is the mission of Red Clay?
The Red Clay Democrats have a distinct mission: to energize and organize active participation in Georgia’s Democratic future. We are a group open to anyone sharing this mission. From our founding, we have been dedicated to making the political process accessible to all who are interested in participating. Primarily, we are focusing our energy on organizing fundraising events, speaker events, campaign volunteering opportunities and community service projects related to the political process. We are also striving to provide a network of Georgia Democrats interested in meeting like-minded Georgians.
What makes Red Clay different from other PACs?
Red Clay focuses on supporting progressive Democratic candidates running in competitive races for seats in the Georgia legislature.
How does Red Clay select candidates to endorse?
Typically, applications are opened to the public during the summer following the primary season. Candidates who have won their primary and are the Democratic nominee for a State House or Senate seat can then apply to us. Our Selection Committee will then judge each candidate’s application along with any other materials submitted by the candidate.

How can individuals get involved with Red Clay?
Individuals can join the Red Clay Dems using our membership link. There are two kinds of membership.
$35 – General Membership:
Benefits include invitations to attend exclusive events free of charge or at a discounted rate on topics including important policy issues, political updates, campaign skills, and networking; regular communication to keep you up-to-date; and more.
$125 – Premier Membership:
Benefits include invitations to attend exclusive small group events with high-profile speakers, invitations to general member events free of charge or at a discounted rate on topics including important policy issues, political updates, campaign skills, and networking, regular communication to keep you up to date, the option to serve on the Red Clay leadership committee, and more.
