Red Clay Democrats unequivocally condemn the shooting at Utah Valley University, which killed Charlie Kirk. Violence of any kind—especially political violence—has no place in our democracy.

No matter our political beliefs, we should all be able to engage in civic life free from fear. This kind of violence is unacceptable, un-American, and a threat to our way of life. 

Our thoughts are with the Kirk family, the Utah Valley University community, and everyone impacted. We urge authorities to investigate thoroughly and for the public to avoid speculation as facts continue to emerge.
